Our Sun

History

Amazingly our sun originates from clouds of gas and dust called a solar nebula about 4.6 billion years ago, under gravity the nebula collapsed into itself and begun to spin faster and faster. The spin caused the cloud to flatten into a disk like a pancake. In the centre, the material clumped together to form a protostar that would eventually become the sun.

The Sun

Our Sun is at the centre of our solar system, without it life on earth would not exist. Heat can be felt from the sun which is 93 million miles away, the heat is produced by nuclear fusion reactions at its core
